Received it today and tested it. All the irons and hair dryers are taking a break!
The most important thing is that 12V is safe; it’s not 230V, which can “hit you hard.”
Very user-friendly interface, removed a bunch of faulty diodes from thick aluminum tape at a temperature of 200-220 degrees. I desoldered the IRL7486MTRPBF transistors, heated them to 250 degrees for 12 minutes, but then increased the temperature to 270 degrees and they “jumped” off the board in a minute, or maybe even faster. The heating pad is great!! Definitely worth the money!
Oh, and on the Alientek HP20 soldering station, heating up breakfast and lunch at work is just perfect!

This heating plate turned out to be even better than i expected. I’m very happy with it. One feature i really liked is that it has forced cooling after you turn it off, which feels like a thoughtful and useful design detail. It gives more confidence when using it and helps it cool down properly.
I also really liked the silicone cover. It’s very convenient for holding small parts and little items during repairs, so they don’t get lost or scattered around. Overall, a very practical and well-designed product.

My first hotplate. seems well-designed and well build. 90cad what i paid for this seem like a reasonable deal given the quality. so far i only verified up to 150c. ui is good, buttons are good. usb-c seems to work fine (140w tested). temperature ramping seems fast. temperature is nicely kept at a constant level. however, there is an offset between when the display shows and what my thermocouple measures at the edge of the plate – about 30c). but that makes sense given where the device’s sensor is placed.
